Part of our history

Everyone has dreams in life, and this is our story.

Suzanne’s dream was to open a health center, and Claude’s was to live on a sailboat in the Caribbean for several years.

After first pursuing the health centre goal, we finally decided to leave it all behind and embark on a sailing adventure in the summer of 2004.

Our experiences have taught us many lessons, one of which is that fate will sometimes let us know we have not chosen the right path at the right time.

And so it happened in February 2005 that we were shipwrecked south of Bermuda during an unexpected tropical storm. After being stranded at sea for 10 hours in 35-foot waves and 160 km per hour winds, we were finally rescued by the American Coast Guard. The miracle of being saved led to a series of other small miracles that culminated with the chance discovery of a small newspaper advertisement that brought us to the town of St-Rémi.Article
